ELO ratings had bulls above jazz and way under warriors

You're going to use one Warriors team?

Bulls are rated above almost every other opponent he lost to. (Maybe every single other one. I didn't look that hard)

Obvi bulls were favored in all finals but he wasn't favored in the eastern playoff series he lost lol
What a coincidence

Should've clarified. The Bulls have a higher ELO rating than almost every single opponent Lebron lost to.

Also, you stat pushers forget that stats show a very limited picture. Quote from the article with the ELO ratings I was looking at :

Elo’s a really simple formula, so there’s a lot it doesn’t account for

I don't remember Jordan being too tired to finish in any Finals.

Also LeBron might have averaged a triple double but if you look at points in the clutch in this series, meaning when the Cavs really needed someone to step up late, he was like a ghost. Kyrie and JR actually had a bigger impact when things were close in the 4th.

You also don't remember Jordan having to do as much to carry his team. Like, leading both teams in points, assists, rebounds, and steals for a series(last season)

It's not to say MJ couldn't do it, but he never had to do it. That kinda matters in this discussion, as I'm sure MJ would be more fatigued late in games if he was asked to do as much as Lebron is asked to do.

I'm actually kind of shocked by the mentality it is better to lose before the finals than to lose in the finals...
Isn't it a great accomplishment getting to the finals and being one of the two best teams, but if you lose before the finals and your finals record looks better, it means you performed better?

Retarded argument.

Jordan being Jordan has nothing to do with the skill level of his opponents. Go look at his opponents and try to find anyone as good as Durant.

How do you penalize someone's greatness because they were so great that they were always favored to win??

That's the most asinine thing I've heard.

Who's penalizing him? Just telling it like it is.

People want to trying to tell this story that he faced and defeated all-time great teams. Earlier his career he faced them and got smashed in the first round.

How many times did Jordan lose to a team as bad as the 2011 Mavs in the NBA Finals?

Oh that would be a big fat 0.

Mavs and Heat were almost identical in strength of Team per ELO ratings

I'm not penalizing Jordan, it's more than 1 on 1 ball. Jordan's teams were always superior to his finals opponents. 1 player no matter how good doesn't make that true unless his pieces around him are also really good.

Lebron has been an underdog many times in finals

The wording of the argument is kinda silly, I agree.

It should focus more on the quality of teams each player faced.

It is unreal to me how some of the posters on the MSB cannot get LeBrons penis out of their mouth.

Just letting you know that you're opinion on the matter is worthless and no one cares that you cannot let LeBrons accomplishments stand on their own without comparing him to the GOAT.

It's embarrassing the level some of you stoop to try and convince people of what???? Why does other peoples opinions about LeBron get so many wound up about nothing????
