Inquiring minds would like to know.

ETA
It was the Aflac Trivia Question during the UCLA v Colorado game.
How many current FBS coaches have been permanent NFL head coaches?

ETA Again:
It was “have been” not “are also” but still permanent means never changing. Kind of poorly worded. They could have just said “have been NFL head coaches.”

There was one season where Gene Chizik was the DC for UNC and still co-anchored one of the SEC network shows. That was kinda weird

Permanent NFL Coach

Someone was obviously a interim in the NFL.

Apparently according to the answer they must have meant “former NFL head coaches.”
Poorly worded question.

Yeah it was the “permanent” part that was throwing me off. They could have just said “head coach”

I think they just mean interim doesn't count.

In 2020, Southern Miss had a permanent head coach. He left after Game 1. Then we had an interim head coach. He left in the middle of the season. Then we had an interim interim head coach. I think only the first coach would count for the question asked.
