I really think M. Thornton would fit well for the Hornets' needs. He's a great shooter that can drive and penetrate. He's big enough to play the 2 physically and play solid defense and get boards. He'll be available in the second half of the first round almost definitely, and is a local guy.

I think trading for a Big man may be their best bet. Thornton will only continue to improve if he gets solid coaching, as we say this season from last. If Scott is still the coach, however, I'd rather see MT go elsewhere for his own sake and development. Scott would mess him up.

I agree that Thornton wouldn't be a bad pick. Regardless, they need the best available 2 that can create his own shot and isn't just a spot up shooter.
