It seems to me that the Baton Rouge schools and area schools always seem to land some big time names from other schools in the area. I don't know if this is luck or recruiting which is cheating. How do they constantly get away with this LHSAA is not doing their job

Looks like zachary is bringing kids in from the Feliciana's and U high is touring Mississippi. Small schools Pleasant Hill from calcasieu parish. Also a rumor coming out of vernon parish some move ins are on the way. Not much control of these places by the admin. Heard South Beau. is losing kids. John Curtis didn't invent ways to get around the rules they just perfected it.

Probably the same why kids from the Florida panhandle and port Arthur TX have family members get jobs at places like West Monroe or acadiana.

It is time for it to stop. Someone has to stand up to the cheaters of the high school sports and Eddie Bonine isn't the one.

I don’t disagree with you but if the kids sit out the requisite year for transferring, what can be done?

The rule that public school kids are better athletes than the private school ones.

I think we all get too caught up in this. It’s America. A kid should be able to attend whatever school they choose. If the parents have the means to move into that school zone, really move not get a PO Box or an abandoned apartment, then the kid should be free to play imo.

Why don’t you provide some specific examples because all Select schools are going to bring in kids from around the area. Some families jump at the opportunity to help their sons surroundings not only for football but their actual future.

Sounds like a scorned coach. Sad.

Pages 41-43 of the LHSAA handbook, undue influence. There are many things that go under undue influence. Remember you can't play summer ball for another school and have there coaches coaching the kids. If it is a parent it's one thing but not the schools coaching staff. Finding the parents a job, finding them housing. If they move and sit out one year that is great, but kids want to play right away now so they will do anything to get eligible. High school sports is about taking what you have at your school and doing the best you can with it. I don't think all coaches are willing to sell their soul to win. Would the John Curtis's and West Monroe's be successful at places that follow the rules. I would love to see the coaches that don't follow the rules go to college and see how well they really can recruit with the guys that really know to do it.

Sounds like that parents wanted a better education for their kids instead of sending them to a shite school in East Feliciana or Mississippi

You want to fix the LHSAA? Legalize all recruiting, introduce promotion and relegation (win 2 titles in a row, go up a division, 3 missed playoffs, go down a division) and let it rip. Let the big dawgs fight it out at the top and the small schools won’t be getting abused every year.

like society has with weed, just legalize it.

I like the move up - move down. Also in favor of a 6A that anybody can go compete in.

Education is not why parents are sending kids to Zachary.

Public schools don’t own kids.

It’s such an odd, authoritarian position so many hold.
