Was a huge Cardinals fan as a kid and up til maybe 10 years ago.

Started listening to KC games on the radio while I worked, and with all the buddies I have in KC area I took a bit of interest in those teams because they're bad news bears-ish.

I'm wide open though, sell me on a team, and I'll support them all year.

eta: Lived in the Bay Area in 2009 and gravitated towards the Giants and their small ball and dominant pitching. Saw Lincecum rack up 15K's twice. One of the Oakland games I went to Giambi hit his 400th HR.

Jump to the other side of the rivalry and hop on board with the Cubbies. WGN televises about half of their games - nuff said.

Why not KC?

They are at a point where they shouldn't be horrible. Should be a fun team to watch this year.

I'm a hog fan, I've endured enough futility and utter failure since April. Thanks tho. Tell me about the Astros they're moving to the AL this year right? My AL team has been Oakland usually.

Any former Razorbacks in the league that you could follow?

I would advise against the Astros unless you enjoyed the John L Smith era.

You must not have been that huge a cards fan if you bailed on them at the drop of a hat.

Go with the Braves...
They have established well known stars: BJ Upton, Justin Upton, and Brian Mccan

They have a young and up in coming superstar in Jason Heyward

They have a great established pitcher in Tim Hudson

Plus some of the best young arms in the game: Kris Medlen, Mike Minor, Johnny Venters, and Craig Kimbrell

Top that with the top prospect/soon to be ace Julio Tehran, and your decision is made

Miami Marlins. They will probably pay you to attend their games.

You've already made the case. You are familiar with the team, have connections to the area, know some of the fans, AND you are getting in on the ground floor of a team that could be rapidly improving.

Root for the Royals. It seems perfect for you. Buy a Louis Coleman jersey.

Even if I weren't an LSU fan, this would be sound advice. Everyone is going to have a Hosmer jersey. You'd be more unique having the jersey of righty specialist/sometime setup man.

And for gods sake make sure its powder blue.

Wasn't at the drop of a hat, just a steady decline in interest in the team. Hard to explain, They were in the WS recently so it's not like I jumped while they were bad, even with them winning I just didn't feel anything favorable towards it. I've grown up out in the boonies of Arkansas, there's no connection to a city for me. All of my family have been country folks and pioneers on the frontiers since the 1700's. I can't even say "Hey I kinda like Philly because my great grandpa used to live there."
