why is this never called when the player actually gets hurt from it? EJ just got knocked the F* out

I'm not saying i agree with the rule but it is never called when a player actually has problems from the hit

why should it?

the the QB or any player for that matter pulls the ball down and is running with it, he is free game.

Well I don't understand the rule!!! The replay sure looked like it was a direct helmet to helmet.

My thought is not about helmet to helmet, but the number of head injuries. Both the NCAA and NFL need to figure it out. Too many at the skilled position (read quarterback) are getting concussions. It seems that it happeneing more frequently. Also, it seems as though the further into the season there are more - maybe a build up of hits from the previous games.
