I don't see any problem with the taunting. He should have added, "You got knocked the frick out!" The hit wasn't even that bad.

Which explains why their arena was filled with Blackhawks fans the last couple of games - they're too scared to sit next to people who actually watch hockey during the regular season. Scary.

It may or may not have warranted a suspension but 3 games? That cripples Chicago for the rest of the series for 1 hit.

The dumb thing for the Hawks was the timing of the penalty. They were about to win game 2.
If they somehow overcame the 0-2 deficit and won the series they emerge less damaged than the Blues. Losing Backes hurts the Blues.
