Does not sound too good for him at all. With the talent on this roster they should still be ok without him on the sideline. Regardless, hate to see this happening

He must be in some serious discomfort to not be able to sit on the bench at least and coach.

It's well documented that Larry Bird had serious back issues, and he's seemed to find something that works. Maybe Kerr can as well. But if they win the title this year, I see Kerr stepping down.

Question is, who do they bring in to frick it all up?

Does not look good for him coaching again in the playoffs, some saying coaching career may be finished as well

Not the same, unless I'm missing what's going on here.

Bird had back issues, Kerr is having issues from complications with back surgery. I believe it's the headaches and nausea doing him in now, not necessarily his back.

I hope not. Kerr is a good dude. Will always root for him (politics aside).

I haven't really noticed until this year but he just seems uncomfortable when doing the press conferences. He always seems to be moving around. Not sure if it's because of this or what.

Kerr is overrated anyways. Mark Jackson built that team

I agree Jackson was a good coach, but Kerr is better.

I hope not as well. I like Steve Kerr, and think he's a great coach, probably the best in the NBA imo. I feel like it's more serious than he's letting people know. Hope he gets well soon.

And almost single handily destroyed it. Players did not like nor want to play for him.

You really think he's better than Pop?

It's funny cause he might be, but how the hell are we supposed to know?

Luke Walton went 40-4. As long as Kerr has this squad as the only team he's coached, it's almost impossible to know. He can range anywhere from best in the game to below average, we simply don't know IMO.

I wonder if JJ could win with Durant, Curry, Thompson, and Green

Pop has been in San Antonio for 21 years. I think his track record far surpasses what Kerr has done in 3 years in GS.

Remains to be seen. He could be better. Pop nearly got his irascible arse ran out of San Antonio on a rail before Tim even got there, so Kerr already has had a better start to his career.

Would like to see 'em head to head in the playoffs a couple of times, but we'll see.

I literally had the same complications from back surgery. Leaking spinal fluid is no joke, and it can kill you. Ihad so much spinal fluid built up in my brain I could literally taste metal in my spit, and I would throw up from pain every time I commuted to work.

The good news is, you can clean it up with surgery, and while rehab sucks, he will be back to a relatively normal life in a few months. He will coach again. Just likely not this season.
