There were 22k there last night. Now on a normal night during the week they are lucky to get 8k. The Trop is a good 45 minutes from Tampa and even further from downtown. Miserable ride because of traffic and people are usually going during rush hour.

The Braves get a lot of heat about attendance, but the Rays are absolutely embarrassing.

The Rays always catch the most crap regarding attendance. I don't know what is "embarrassing" about it though.
Not sure why anyone else would care.

You can be describing Atlanta with this.

C'mon. You have to drive 45 minutes to get to the damn station. This isn't NYC.

Marta is a joke.

No it's not.
It is a long drive in the same traffic to a station.
It's a long ride to downtown.
It's a long walk to the Stadium.
Then repeat the same thing going home. Marta is not worth a crap for baseball.

I've used MARTA to go to Braves games

Haven't used any public trans to get to a Rays game, and I don't know anyone that has.

It's funny how the people who don't live here think Marta is a good option for going to a baseball game here.

I guess ignorance is no deterrent to posting.

(believe me I participate in ignorant posting myself )

Not this shite again.

I ride MARTA every fricking day and nothing happens to me. I know several others who ride daily with no problems.

Then you suck at it...... Or you're an ultrapussy

If you think for a second that Tampa and/or St Pete's public trans is anywhere on the same level with MARTA, then you have no fricking clue what you are talking about.

How can you honestly make excuses for the Braves? They've had shitty attendance despite being one of the most dominant franchises in baseball up until recently. They made the playoffs last year. Can still make the playoffs this year. Hell, this series against the Phils is essentially a playoff atmosphere...but not in the stadium. Fact of the matter is that the Braves have a shitty fanbase. Don't make any excuses when you average just over 50% full in the stadium.

And that's your own damned fault for living in the shithole suburbs and continually voting not to have MARTA access.
