Young to T.O was awesome.

Montana to Clark is legendary.

This was pretty lame by comparison.

Nothing can touch Montana to Clark, obviously. Even if it happened again in a Super Bowl it would still be #2

But among 49er fans 2 and 3 are at least on equal footing and in a poll i bet 3 wins.

I really don't believe that.

The Catch II was against the Packers who had dethroned the Niners as the dominant force and eliminated SF every year prior...it was the Favre dynasty and Young was old man.

T.O. had fricking dropped everything thrown to him that day...and then catches a 35 yard pass between two safeties while getting hammered.

I mean it wasn't a Hail Mary, the Niners executed a real 35 yard pass as time expired...even with Green Bay having half the team at the goal line.

A 10 yard pass to a TE who is not even man covered? Please.

I don't mean in terms of the catch itself I mean in terms of how big a deal it was and how it's remembered in 49er lore

Fun fact: The 49ers have more NFCCG appearances in the last 5 years than the Saints do in their entire history.

It's all about the moment. According to Saints fans that team would've beat the Giants 62-10 then beat the Patriots 68-17 because it it was the greatest team of all time.

Saints win that game then they kill the Giants at home and win another super bowl.

Aaron Hernandez would've murdered the saints in the Super Bowl

Fun fact: The 49ers are a joke of an organization with no hope insight. IDGAF how many little NFCCG appearances you had.

Much better to bottom out for a few years and stockpile high draft picks than go 8-8 or 7-9 every year and never get a chance to draft a top end difference maker unless one falls in your lap.

Niners have picks, cap space, and a clean slate at GM and coach. Much better situation than the Saints right now. Y'all haven't even started your bottoming out period yet.

My mom was at this game. Said a 49ers fan (woman) was throwing peanuts on her for a chunk of the game. This was the game that prompted the San Fran police to put undercovers in the stands the following week. Lots of horror stories from Saints fan that attended that one.

frick the 49ers.

Fun fact: If you're a 49ers Super Bowl baby, you're old enough to buy a beer at Levi's Stadium.
