They seemed to be motivated to prove all the nay-sayers wrong yet again and try and break the Bulls 72 wins, and go Back2Back.

Can they do it with the style they play?

Is the West "down" this year? Spurs, Thunder seem to be the only serious contenders in the West outside of GS.

Then the East, well that's just a mess. It's the CAVS then everyone else remaining who's either "not figured it out" or "injured"...a healthy Heat team can make a run at the East Title, but would get destroyed by any West team. CHI is constantly riding a roller coaster between D-Rose being hurt or the rest of the team trying to figure out Hoiberg's system.

As of January 26th,2016 it seems like GS will go along and win another Title, but will they?

I guess we'll just have to wait and find out, Craig.

If you're GS, you should know better considering they were the 8th seed to knock off a Dallas Mavericks team that finished with almost 70 wins.

That Warriors team had talent and some good veteran leadership. Not to mention they could shoot the three. The 8 seed in the West this year will suck.

I wouldn't call the East a mess anymore. They are not as top-heavy as the West, but they have more teams with winning records than the West.

The Bucks, the East's 13th place team, have a record of 19-27, which is similar to the Blazers (20-26), which is the West's 9th place team. The West's 13th place team, for comparison to the Bucks, is the Suns, and they have a record of 14-31.

The 8th seed in the West doesn't even have a winning record. That would be the Kings, and they are 20-24.

If they stay healthy I don't think anyone can beat them in a 7 game series. Curry would have to go through a serious cold spell that gave him some sort of complex for them to lose with the depth that they have. Injuries are very real though. Cavs looked primed to win it all last year and a dirty play leading to a dislocated shoulder and freak broken kneecap derailed them very quickly. If the Warriors lost Green in the first round and then Thompson in the first game of the Finals they aren't winning anything.

All that being said I kind of hope they win 73 games. Would be fun to hear the next round of "is he better than Jordan?".

Don't know if I should consider partying like it's 1996, or 1997.

Curry's career will be difficult to compare to Jordan because of the slow start due to injuries. Michael Jordan averaged 37 ppg in his third year. Curry didn't even break 20 until his 4th year.

I wouldn't visit that until Curry wins 3 titles...and if they are In a row he can definitely be in the discussion...but I wouldn't take Curry right now if I needed to start my franchise with a PG..

As long as they avoid major injury, I think they coast to it. I don't really think anyone can beat this team 3 times, much less 4.

I don't think it's so much teams being down as it is GS is just absurdly good. The Spurs, OKC, & Cavs at full strength are all legit

I knew I put myself at a disadvantage when I said that...

I think if I had a choice of any PG to go along with other guys on a team my choice would be CP3 since he runs an offense, and makes the pass before taking the shot.

Westbrook is probably next after that as much as I'm not so crazy about him. Then Kyrie still is so young and should reach his full potential when LeBron is on his way down in his career...

Curry came into the league as an undersized SG and moved over to PG...with the amount that he shoots and plays off ball he is more of a SG but holds the PG tag.

So you'd take cp3, westbrook and Kyrie over curry right now?

What else would you expect from the OP. I also love him bringing up Kyrie and Westbrook, who are probably more of 2 guards than Steph

Including Kyrie at all in this discussion is hilarious in itself.

you gotta play the games.

if they lose their inside players, no amount of 3 point shooting will be enough.
if curry sprains that leg again.
if ....

if they are healthy from here out, they will have a great shot.
its no lock though.

I thought a certain Phila Warriors team with Wilt which finished #1 in the east was a cinch, but they lost in the first round to Boston and Russell.
Boston had had injuries. They were all back. Russell blocked Wilt at the rim over and over and over and over, with the games on the line.
