You're really going out on a limb with those picks.

Why do you say that? They're 6 points away from being 7-1. Now don't get me wrong I'm not making excuses, I'm using that point to illustrate that they're not a bad team, just haven't been able to close out. You can't argue they've been playing much better football these past few weeks and have a very favorable home stretch coming up.

In my playoff scenario it's really not that inconceivable to think they beat a struggling Seahawks at home, and go into Detroit and beat a team they should have already.

It's not necessarily about the best team it's about who's playing the best at the end of the season and being healthy, something the New York Giants have shown us multiple times; Nobody thought they'd make the runs they did.

Why not?

If they win their division, they'll have home field in the 1st round. Considering the Saints are due for some arse kicking revenge against the Seahawks, I'd say they win that one easily.

If they got the Lions in round 2, they've already proven they can nearly beat them in Detroit. Who's to say they wouldn't win in a rematch? Especially if it were somehow in New Orleans?

This isn't preseason where everybody is just blindly guessing. We have quantified data and weeks of eye test material. Of course most things are going to go chalk and the division winners are getting much clearer in most divisions. I did this mainly to see people's Wild Cards and playoff matchups at this point.

Packers
Don't have the defense to make a real run, IMO.

I just don't know how much I trust the Steelers or Chiefs at this point. The Chargers have played some good football early and if they can get back to that and get healthy I think it's not far-fetched for them to get the 6th seed. Only going to take about 9 or 10 wins

My issue with the Chargers: no running game, weak defense. I don't think they make it.

Don't think the run game will be as weak when Mathews returns. And Verrett and Flowers being out has hurt them these past few games as well.

I don't think Mathews fixes the problems. Oliver clearly isn't as good but the line just isn't creating running lanes.

Yeah I understand you hesitancy, but it's not so much that SD is a great team as much as it is a slight to the rest of the AFC IMO.
