ATL Board is under SECrant.com

SEC is college sports.

Once upon a time I lived in Gwinnett county, and went to a G-Braves game. Worst fan atmosphere I've ever had at a minor league game. Truly awful.

Gotta think the Braves regret moving their AAA club to metro Atlanta.

Would buying the monuments from NOLA and being the "Georgia Confederates" not work?

Quick national attention I bet.

Print the money.

I think they have one of the worst attendance records for a AAA team.

They will always be the Richmond Braves.

Richmond is the worst sports city for its size in America. They are about to lose the AA Flying Squirrels because they will not build a new stadium. The city spent millions on the Redskins training camp area in which they are here for 2 weeks a year, yet they will not commit to a stadium for a team that plays dozens of games here a year.

I can't believe the metro still hasn't learned.
Don't forget they lost the Renegades too.
Back about 10 years ago, I always said to put a stadium around 288 and Midlothian. That area is probably too built up now though. Haven't been back in over 3 years.

I cant stand this area, but my wife is from here so I am pretty much stuck. Everything here sucks from the food to sports to taxes. I totally agree that 288 would be great. Put it at 288 and 64 in Short Pump...the land is there. They recently widened 64 to Goochland as well and it is booming out that way, but here in Chester it is not.

Why would they regret it based on what you said in your post? I think they are pretty pleased with the fact that they can call up players from the AAA at a moment's notice and have them at STP that day (or fly them out of Atlanta to wherever they are on the road).

I may end up back there, due to family reasons. As much as I don't like VA, there are certainly things there, much better than LA.

Yeah, that's probably the best place to put a stadium now. Too built up on Southside, near the river. And Chester is just too far. You wouldn't get the families from Henrico/Goochland.

Good, move them back to CT and bring back the Norwich Navigators.
