NCAA announcing whether the violations are major or small at 3pm today. I am pretty close w a lot of the football players and have heard nothing about any wrongdoings minus some failed drug tests.

I've never understood cheating on a small scale. If youre gonna do it, do it killa cam style and win a national championship

we were still on probation for "lack of institutional control" during the time this happened. We might be getting nailed

Yeah that's what it's looking like. We were on probation bc someone couldn't do The NCAA eligibilty math right (ironic) and now this. We will get buried

You have to understand how College football really works to be worried in this situation.

Ohio St, Auburn, and Oregon f'up big time, which means someone has to take the fall. It won't be them, because these programs mean a lot to the College football landscape.

Therefore, we should be seeing Georgia Tech getting nailed pretty hard for these other schools transgressions.

Sucks because I drafted Trey Braun in the Recruiting Mock draft and I was hoping he would be seeing some playing time this fall. Oh well.

I agree with this 100%. It's like the NCAA wants to make a statement but not with a big time school in fear of the repercussions. Thus they will make a statement on a lower tier football program bc of an honest eligibility mistake and what appears to be a free watch.

This is all hypothetical but it certainly appears that something along these lines is going to happen in a few hours.

What a load of crap. Yes, big-time CFB programs do get preferential treatment in general over the smaller ones but they're not immune to a pretty high level of punishment (ex: Bama, USC). And the only reason the NCAA hasn't touched any of the schools you mentioned yet is because there hasn't been enough time passed to do a full investigation and announce the punishment. At least 2 of those 3 programs are gonna get nailed, you can count on that.

Now, I might be biased, but pretty sure USC "means a lot to the College foot all landscape", more than Oregon and Auburn anyway. That obviously didn't stop the NCAA from killing us.

What?

OSU just lost their HC, starting QB, vacated all wins from last year, and are still being investigated.

AU is still being investigated.

UO stuff just came out and I'm sure they will be investigated.

To say that nothing has/will happen to them is not accurate.

Zach Klein is tweeting that GT will have a press conference at 4:30 to respond to the NCAAs annoucement. The presser will include our prez and AD. That is not good news.
