They still looked slow against OKC last year.

OKC needed a Herculean effort to win games 5 and 6. Looks can be deceiving.

I am butthurt. ever since Tim Duncan put that 3 in Shaq's eyes in the playoffs with a couple seconds left in the game he's been my least favorite player ever. That on top of that big eyed look he gives the refs when a call doesn't go his way. I will say I enjoy watching a close playoff game and appreciate their game. Ginobli is fun to watch as well and came through in the clutch.

Brb, gotta run to Rivalries
No matter the outcome, sleepy threads were forthcoming in Rivalries.

I missed the end of the game because the gf, who is a Spurs fan, didn't want to "jinx" her team. Women.

Always entertaining, win lose or draw

Then call me a girl--I quit posting on one site's game thread and quit sitting down to help the mojo

It's only weird if it doesn't work, right?

I suppose you're right, and the Spurs won and all that jazz....but I'm still pissed off that I missed the end of the game.

Highlights aren't the same.

That's what I successfully explained to my wife tonight.

"No, babe, we WILL finish this game live because we are Spurs fans. Married to Jonas or whatever the hell else is on any other garbage channel is gonna have to just frickING WAIT until the Spurs are done!"

What I said, more or less.

Bill Simmons just tweeted how bad an idea it was to not rest Curry. Really makes no sense since Jack has been great and Thompson is, at worst, an average SG. I didn't watch the first half, so I'm not sure how it happened, but there should have definitely been a JJ/Klay backcourt with Steph resting.

They're really not. Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker are up there. The rest of the team is full of youth

I mean Diaw is 31 and Bonner is 33. Sure, there's youth there in Kawhi, Blair, and Green, but its kind of disingenuous to act like the team isn't kind of old, especially when its THOSE 3 players that we're talking about. If you were talking about TMac, Patty Mills, and Cory Joseph as being old (because they had 10 mins of combined playing time), that'd be different.

Weebs, brah, you are fricking hilarious. Why the frick do you even watch basketball?

ETA: I, for one don't give a shite about the Spurs fans, although I'm thinking about investing in a combo burrito stand/tattoo parlor over there. Money.

That said, I admire the hell out of the Spurs organization, their coach and the way that team plays. Never count them out. I'd love to see them make it to the finals one more time.

Diaw isn't normally a starter. The starting lineup has Duncan 37, Leonard 21, Splitter 28, Parker 30, Green 25.

The bench is mixed with youth and experience. Without looking it up, I'm pretty sure the Spurs aren't one of the top 5 oldest teams in the league. The heat are though.

I don't really find the "average age" stat to be worth much. Regardless of that though, I don't think age will be a huge factor in the series to be honest.
