Daily tPOS award goes to the entire Panthers organization

Deangelo WIlliams lost his mother to breast cancer last year and Greg Hardy was the only one who showed up to the funeral.

I know Williams isn't a superstar but he helped the NFL start the October breast cancer awareness stuff several years ago

It's the way his mother's death was handled that bothered him more than being released.

quote:

Williams said team owner Jerry Richardson didn't say anything to him until weeks after the funeral, after his first-person story about his mother was published in Sports Illustrated.

quote:

"I'm not saying this now because they're releasing me. ... But it stung to know that a place of business that you work for and that you've bled and played through injuries, you did everything you possibly can for this organization to be successful, and then upon your darkest hour they let you handle it by yourself."

I don't know. I don't see this as that big of a deal. I wouldn't expect any of my coworkers to come to any of my family member's funerals, unless I happened to be particularly close with an individual.

Meh whatever.

It's a place of business. He's a grown man, grow up.

I wouldn't expect my coworkers to come to my mom's funeral.

I guess he wants to be consoled and what not. I'd just want people to treat me normally.

NFL is full of shite heads

People try to link thugs and NBA, but the NFL has 10000X more thugs and pieces of shits.

Also add in the roided up factor, which can turn some into utter shitheads.

That's pretty awful. Doesn't look good on a professional organization or business.

The Panthers franchise and teammates should be ashamed of themselves that the only person with the decency to show up is a man who beat up his girlfriend and threw her on top of a bed loaded with guns.

NFL players have deaths in the family all the time. I don't hear anyone else crying about it.

Are you saying that you go to or are even aware of all of your coworker's or employee's personal events?

That's probably more of the story. The entire organization is filled with so many frick ups that the least shitty person is the wife beater

Yeah...you're definitely trolling. Either that or you've totally ignorant and never lost someone close to you. So good luck when that happens

At my last job, whenever a coworker had a father/mother die, multiple (ie more than 1) employees went to the funeral. ANd that was a law firm, not a professional team where the players shed blood and sweat for each other and depend on teamwork for success.

Yep. One time a family members work in Cali sent at least $200 or $300 worth of food and flowers are a death in the family.

All you Panthers in here are full of shite.

Or maybe some people keep family matters separate from work matters.

If Williams is the type that wants to be consoled and what not after a family death then that's him. Everyone's not like that though.
