Mentioned first in the article

I loved his time in St. Louis, but was so relieved we didn't pony up to keep him around. It was pretty obvious his career was leaning towards the downward.

This is a huge season for Votto. I knew we'd give him a lot of money, but damn...

Is it evil of me to wish BJ would just get hit by a bus?

Obligatory A-Rod contract was the absolute worst.

While I agree, he was really good last year and I think he will be better this year.

At first, I thought this was not as bad as they made it out to about the Rangers. But no it is every bit as bad. To me the Choo deal and the Harrison deals are killer, Harrison literally might retire because he had been so injured, Choo is good win healthy but he is not, nor never has been good enough to get the money we are paying him. I am not really concerned about the fielder deal as much. This was just bad luck about the injury, hopefully he can come back strong.

My real issue is with JD and not understanding how to quantify the intangibles. He always undervalued Kinsler, Young, etc, and he always over valued Elvis and Profar. If it wasn't for Beltre, we would be in real trouble.

I do however like the new manager, in his radio interviews he has been awesome. I think he is a guy that can see talent in the over-looked player, he is a big time locker room guy and he wont baby anyone. Not that Wash did, but I was super afraid that JD was going to bring in a mini JD as manager.

Yeah, but didn't they give him 10 years?
