I hate radio talk for the most part. I do like Cowherd, though. He is entertaining to me.

One thing I hate about Mike and Mike is, after 20 minutes, I can't tell which one is talking. Damn, they suck.

There are much better and more specific radio shows on iTunes. I have absolutely no reason to listen to the main ESPN shows anymore.

I never watch espn tv talk. I don't like Mike and Mike on radio. But I do listen every morning for 10 minutes. That's how long it takes my car to get to a point where I can pick up the transmission of a station that airs Wall Street Journal Report. Great radio show.

There is definitely something in the air as Greenie made a similar comment several mths ago while rambling on about something & when Golic shot him a look, he promptly backtracked away from that comment. As well, both have been off the air a lot more lately, Greenie more so, and their time off goes way beyond any perceived vacation time. A lot if not all of their program's content is dictated by the suits, but Greenie in particular is a bleeding heart liberal & his personal take on some of the bigger issues in sports got old a long time ago. Too, his germ phobia stories are simply stupid by now. Golic is no shining star but I can take him a lot easier than Greenie.

How are you informed about how moronic it is or isn't when you are supposedly never tuned in to it?

I used to watch and listen to ESPN programming. I decided I wasn't retarded enough to continue.

Basically when somebody starts a thread with the title "Cowherd says Wisconsin is going to beat LSU" I read it as "I drink Sunny D for breakfast, wear crocs, put ketchup on my hot dogs, and still get a kick out of the fact that the total playa in How I Met Your Mother is played by--get this--a gay guy! Oh! And Michael Sam plays for--guess what team?--that's right, the RAMS LOL!"

I know this might be difficult to wrap your head around...but, it is possible to spend time listening to a show, realize it is total garbage, and never tune in again.

I know the prevailing hope is that SVP and Russillo take that spot over. The problem being SVP working the 6pm SC, and Ryen doing more and more with the NBA. SVP's popularity reaches outside of ESPN. There are plenty of guys I know that despise all things mother ship besides SVP. I can't see Cowherd taking that morning spot considering he has some focus on the West Coast. Bottom line, they need guys who are knowledgeable about more than the NFL, 1970's and 80's MLB, and Notre Dame football.
