playing in my fantasy league championship next weekend, winner gets $350 so I told myself if I came out on top I would spoil myself with a new top of the line putter

obviously know Scotty's are the more popular choice, but was curious to see if anyone knows about Bettinardi's and has an opinion

Played with a Bettinardi for about 6 months. Good putter, but I didn't have the confidence in it that I had with my Scotty Newport 2.5

Both were comprehensively fitted to me. I'd recommend doing that. A putter can be 10,000$ and still shitty if it doesn't lay at the right angle for the golfer or sit at the right length.

Bettinardi started as a metal machine shop in Chicago. They still operate as a machine shop but now part of their business is milling putters. Its a great 100% milled in the USA product. All items offered are top notch. I would suggest getting one that has the F.I.T face with the grooves. This helps the ball start roll sooner. I also would suggest getting fit correctly for a putter. Its a club that accounts for half the strokes you take a round and people just pick one off the rack and head to the course.

I've always been a Scotty fanboy but one of my friends claims the bettanardi is the shite. Agreed with the caterpillar though too, you need to get the right lie and length.

I hit both of these yesterday and I could not tell a difference.

Best advice is to get fitted and then get whichever putter you think looks cooler hahaha

Also, focus on your final game before you start spending that money...

I started playing with a Scotty about a year ago and love it. I have the studio model. You won't regret going to a Scotty.

All this love for Scotty so I thought I would chime in for the Betti. I honestly just ordered a BB37 2013 yesterday. I've hit both, like the Scotty a lot. I just felt the Betti has more "feel". Aesthetically I don't think it's a contest, it's Betti all the way. I think this gets down played a lot bc if you look down a see a shitty looking club you aren't going to have confidence. Take a look at www.bettinardiltd.com (www.bettinardi.com to see sweet grip/headcover that comes with it).. Jimmy runs it and he is ridiculously nice and helpful. He answered all my questions. I did not get fitted in person but had an idea based on some models I found here in b'ham. 34" with -1 on the lie angle. The correct answer is to do what fits you best. That was the Betti for me. The looks and the fact that its not a mass produced run of the mill putter was another plus in my book.
TLDR, but my 2 cents.

welp I won my championship so I've got the $350 now. Been looking at a lot of different high class putters. Anyone have any experience with a Piretti? Other than that, been looking at Never Compromise. Then I keep coming back to a Scotty.....Im too indecisive

Cameron's are way overrated. A putter is something that you just need to be comfortable with. Cameron's are like North Face, expensive fleece with a brand name on it! Most all putters have a similar feel, so just find one with a good touch for you.

No

They are properly rated as highest tier. OThers belong there with them like Bettinardi.

SC's have incredible feel and they will fit them perfectly to you. They look great from the top and absolutely have some of the best putter faces in golf. They are balanced and weighted very well too.

I'm not saying they are the best, but they are 100% one of the best.

Putting is all confidence though, so whatever gives you that confidence is what you should be using.

ETA:

North Face isn't considered the best fleece brand. Just the most popular. So this analogy doesn't really work.
