Golden State took advantage, and capitalized! Congrats!

Their journey:
- New Orleans Pelicans
- Memphis Grizzlies
- Houston Rockets
Of all the people saying the "East was so easy this year"....GS did not have to deal with the Spurs, Clippers, or Kevin Durant. Huge year to win the West for them, and capitalize that Western Conference Championship with also a win over a beat up Cavalier team that shouldn't have took the series past 4 games...With Curry and Thompson not having to do much offensively to carry this team at times in the playoffs, they were still able to win. This was because they rotated 10 guys and always had fresh bodies on the court. Kerr will become one of the great coaches in the NBA for years to come, but the journey will be tougher as the years come.
Next year:
KD and Westbrook is back and healthy.
Clippers bolstering up...
San Antonio looks to make 1 more run at a title with adding LaMarcus Aldridge...
Congrats GS on winning this year's title while it was there for the taking! The best team all year put it together from start to finish and was able to accomplish their goal!

Curry won't win another one.

Nice little back-handed compliment.

This is so stupid. Who cares who they beat? A title is a title

I wouldn't say that...I'm just saying the road wont be this easy...if the Clippers would have made the journey to the NBA finals it would have been more impressive.
- San Antonio(reigning champs)
-Houston
-Golden State(League's best team)
that would have been a ride.
The west is 10x harder than the east, and will continue to get better. If I was a betting man, I would say you'll see San Antonio vs Cleveland in the NBA Finals next season if San Antonio is able to land LaMarcus Aldridge....also KD and a healthy bulldog in Russel Westbrook? Cmon...
Curry's road to the NBA finals vs "hurt" guards...
- Jrue Holiday(out)
- Mike Conley(hurt)
- Patrick Beverley(hurt)
-Kyrie Irving(hurt)
Backup PG's were forced to cover this year's league MVP? lol...he says thanks !

What's hilarious is he tried to diminish the title they won...to defend leWalk.
When they beat LeCry to win it.
They've gone full retard

Never once mentioned LeBron....this thread isn't about him, its about GS and what they didn't have to overcome....
they took advantage of what was happening in front of them....and for that they are rewarded! It shouldn't have went 6, they should have swept the Cavs

GS won the title, and was the best team from start to finish. They were better than all these teams when everyone in the NBA was healthy too

Just like the Spurs did in 2007 when Hughes seemingly did not recover well from that injury.

Yep they were the best team in the league....
but a healthy KD and Westbrook in the playoffs will be a different beast to deal with...this same GS team was 1 shot away from being down 3-0 in this series to a team filled with only 1 player carrying the load..
Just think if Curry was hitting those 3's in Westbrook's face? I bet that little bulldog would have been coming back at him at full force, Curry didn't have to do much..

quote:You're not going to get any credit around these parts b/c people hate on LeBron, but I understand your post completely. Yes GSW was the best team, but they also were the healthiest of all the teams in the Playoffs. A healthy Kyrie and Love, and that series is totally different. Not to discredit their work, but they took advantage of the situation.

Actually I'd say that the bigger break SA got that year was Golden State (ironically enough) taking out #1 seeded Dallas in round 1. The Mavs had our number and just about everyone else's that year.
