MadBum had a regular season WAR of 4.0...placing him outside the Top 10 of pitchers. You just can't calculate CLUTCH!

They were fortunate to win this year, especially considering they were a wildcard. They probably won't win the division much anymore, so this could very well be the last one they win. Hopefully, at least.

It will be interesting to see what they do this offseason. If they keep Sandoval and then go after some starting pitching they could be good again next year and in the NL West/Wildcard race for sure. They will get Cain back at full strength.

If Sandoval walks and they don't upgrade the rotation I could definitely see them falling down around 500. They don't have the type of farm system right now with guys they can bring up to just reload

I think if Sandoval leaves they move Buster Posey to 3rd base. He actually started out as a Shortstop & they want to save him wear & tear on his body. We will see what happens.

It would probably be smart of them to start giving him some breaks. 3B or maybe filling in for Belt at 1B against lefties and other random days, DHing him more in AL games.

His bat is too important to them and I think his struggles in this series were at least partially related to the wear and tear
