Heading down to Lexington to watch the Florida game. Anyone ever been there to watch a game? I have a good buddy from college that lives there so I go down quite a bit but never witnessed a game there. What kind of party should I expect? ..or will it be pretty weak?

hit keananland friday before. tons of beautiful women. dress decent.

downtown is a lot of fun but the tailgating is OK. i would stay downtown and hit all the bars/restaurants there. catch a ride (all downtown hotels have one) to campus. i would bring a disposable ice chest and walk around. lots of lovely ladies. i would definately go back. lexington is a hidden gem.

We usually go to a place called cheapside and then go to Redmons.

How strict are they with open containers on game days?

Do this and try and get there around 1230-1, wake up early friday and go hit the markers or jim beam distillery if youve never done anything like that, its pretty interesting.

This, some of the bars are actually pretty good, they also have a really awesome late night pizza by the slice place called good fellas that you should check out.

Not at all, the tailgating was very lacking 2 years ago when I went also. Going for the Florida game will be just like when LSU played them in 07 I would imagine, before the game all their fans were just talking about how awesome LSU was and how they hoped we didnt blow them out. Afterwards it was like they had won the freaking MNC, burning couches, helicopters flying everywhere trying to catch said couchburners, it was pretty bad.

Overall a good trip though. You should have a good time.

You will have a good time. Kentucky certainly isnt on the level of LSU, UF, Ole Miss in tailgating, but it should be fun considering its against UF. Its a good first SEC game, but try if you can to get to a game in Baton Rouge, Oxford, or Gainesville and you will see how good it can get.

cheapside isnt bad at all. redmons - you must be a country guy

go to mccarthys, good bar. and if your friend is a townie you might end up at rosebuds

make sure you get some goodfellas pizza on friday night, shite is legit

i didnt see them being very strict on open containers when i went. the tailgating scene is kind of weak. unless you have a spot walk around. and being from ohio, you will probably see the biggest grouping of attractive women you will ever see. uk is as underrated as possible when it comes to hot sluts

Not a big fan of Redmons..just one of the places my buddy always wants to end up. He knows people that works there and gets the hook up. I have been to Rosebuds before...Not a bad little bar.
Where is McCarthys?
Just check and Keeneland doesnt start til October 10th.

FYI- I have a friend here in CBus printing off some shirts to take down and sell. They will say TELOW at the top with a picture of Tebow sucking off Touchdown Jesus. I made the print in white. Might have to make some on purple shirts for the LSU game!

Has a blast when I went in 07. Pregame tailgating was less than desirable but the sites made up for it! Probably the nicest fans I ever met anywhere. Me and a buddy roamed campus before and after the game Kentucky fans gave all kinds of food and alcohol. Went out after downtown, bouncer pulled us out of the line brought us in the back door and told us since we were brave enough to come out in our purple and gold we were on the house the whole night!
