You're just proving my point even further. The fact that he consistently blows out top 5 teams proves that he truly is the GOAT.

Seems like you admire him for reasons other than him being a coach.

Well he certainly isn't an eye sore.

He has almost literally no recruiting competition

He got the #1 player in the country like 1 time, and Elena Delle Donne couldn't hack the practices and transferred after a month at UConn. The competition in women's bball is a joke, so I am not commenti g on his greatness overall, but he builds incrddibly solid all around teams.

I'll give the GOAT title for women's basketball, hands down. Everything he's done is gender based, however. And that is not a knock, just a fact. The point is all the other teams just are not very good.

Imagine Alabama now or USC past decade... And then everyone they play is a Division II school.

That's the gap.

but he did so with women so that somehow makes the feat less credible than if he were to do so with men?

Yes, it does make this feat less credible. But this isn't because it's sexist. It's because every year there are only about 5 to 10 elite women's basketball players. UCONN gets at least half of them.

There are 349 D-1 women's teams since Title IX dictates "equality" in sports. But there just isn't enough talent to staff all of those teams. While there may be 10-20 men's teams that are capable of making a deep run in the tournament every year, there's only one or two year-in, year-out legit women's teams. So yes, I do devalue the UCONN women's team accomplishments in light of what men's teams go through.

This is the deal.

There are tons of good male basketball players.

There are almost no good female basketball players. They mostly all totally suck...Hard truth.

UConn is getting all the goat generational players...Used to be if you had one generational player, you won everything...Like Cheryl Miller at USC or Holdsclaw at UT.

UConn has been getting 3 generational players a year for 15 years...At least.
