Any of them gain thirty pounds of muscle?

to be a HR you don't have to be a huge, muscle bound guy.... look at Hank Aaron... ain't NOBODY accusing that dude of using steroids, but he was the HR king for a long, long time....

to be a HR you have to be able to exert rotational force quickly, while being able to consistently make contact with the ball... amphetamines absolutely would help with this.... improved focus and concentration would help with locating the ball in preparation of the swing, allowing to get a fraction of a second "jump" on the pitch... allows for quicker swing, quicker swing equals increased rotational force, which, in turn, equals ball traveling further....

Yes. LA Times article from July 1995 LINK

quote:

"I'd love to see testing myself," said Chicago White Sox first baseman Frank Thomas, one of baseball's big men at 6 feet 5 and 268 pounds. "If it can be done in every other sport, why not ours? At least it would get rid of the suspicions."

He had been AL MVP in 1993 and 1994 btw.

Article also has a quote from Tony Gwynn.

No one was taking roids for these reasons. They wanted to get bigger.

And I agree about Aaron. Guy played at 180 pounds and could take it out of any park. Same with Mays.

Frank was my favorite player. And I don't see anything bad in steroids. they don't enhance your libido levels, they are synthetic variations of the male sex hormone testosterone, but they refer to muscle building. I'm a bodybuilder and I buy steroids to make my muscles grow faster as do all sportsmen. It's normal
