No way that is true.

It makes perfect sense. There's no reason to go to the site unless you want to see highlights from their shout shows. Same thing would happen to ESPN.com if it was only clips from First Take, ATH, and PTI.

Seriously, why does anyone visit those sites? I get 95% of my sports news from either text messages from buddies, the radio, or this fricking tigerdroppings.

ESPN.com still has some of the best laid out box scores and stats.

It's becoming a chore to use them now though b/c they have auto video on nearly every single page.

Holy smokes I have not gone to the Fox Sports website in a long time

Its maybe the worst piece of shite website I have ever seen now. Like 1995 text only would be better.

Every video takes time to load up and they are all just worthless bits of information.

What moron is running the show over there

There actually is. On the video box you can click to have video not automatically play. Of course every time you delete your cookies you have to do it again, but there is an option.

Any theories as to why?
They have no articles anymore. Just videos. Their college football staff was very good in Feldman and Mandel and they shitcanned written articles, picks, etc. So dumb

I'm still trying to decide if The Athletic is worth it. I don't read as much as I would like, and there is still a lot of great free content, but I'm still mulling it over. I'll probably subscribe at some point.

I think the circling back around to the paywall model in lieu of ad-based funding is going to be the direction of a lot of sites.

I went to their website for the first time in months. It's nothing but an endless scroll of crappy videos I have no interest in watching. Really sad. I used to enjoy reading various articles there.
