Edit: If Houston is left out...

Metro Atlanta cracks me up, will be interesting to see Chicago duplicate this blueprint with the Bears new suburban stadium.

this is a dumb take. If you want to know more about the subject read the other 50 threads on the topic.

The problem was never atlanta, or the venue, or the fans...it was the ownership. As long as ASG isn't running the show hockey can and will do just fine there.

In fairness, these two are not the same.

Right on cue.

And the team.wont be in Atlanta, they are gonna on the Forsyth side of Alpharetta, 25 miles north of downtown. Right in the bullseye of where the STH base will be.

I've relayed this exact same point on here on the numerous other threads we've had on here concerning this but in true MSB fashion, it gets largely ignored b/c it doesn't fit posters' agendas, and if they do somewhat acknowledge it, they just move the goalposts(another MSB special).

Oh for Christ sake.

Forsyth County is about as red as it gets.

But don't let facts get in your way there, smart guy.

When are we going to get over this build where the fans are. Major league franchises don't care anymore where the average everyday fan lives. They care about real estate development and corporate sponsorships who pay for the good seats. Thats why most venues are in the urban core, or in the case of the Braves stadium, as close as you can get while still having the ability to develop the surrounding real estate.

The possible new Bears stadium is first and foremost a land development deal.

As a native New Orleanian that has lived in Atlanta metro for 17 years, Atlanta is not an awful sports city.

Since the Braves have moved they have been near the top of attendance in MLB.

Atlanta United are always near the top.

The hockey arena will be up the 400 corridor. Bunch of European transplants live there. Guess what, these Slovaks and Czechs and Poles love hockey. Will be sold out often.

As a Saints fan I am glad the Falcons are a train wreck.

But to say they that Atlanta is a terrible sports city is just a bad take.
