After living through the hell that was Les Miles for a decade, I don't get it. Dude recruited multiple elite offensive players every year with an offense from 1974

Results mean very little in college recruiting now. It’s a completely different game.

He currently has DJ Lagway committed, a 5* QB that has scored 36 TDs in 6 games this season. Lagway is all in on the Gators and Billy Napier so Napier is doing something right, at least on the recruiting front.
The offense isn't exactly antiquated and it's closely related to the Shanahan's offense. However, Billy's lack of prowess as an offensive coach predicates that the OL needs to dominate the DL in order to open up the run game so that the passing game can be dominant. There is little room for error and a lot to be desired in the passing game outside of play-action when the run is dominating.

Let's hope.
Just limp thru the season. Keep the recruiting class. Hire an OC.

Wilbur Marshal
I remember he intercepted Jeff Wickersham in the north end zone of TS, snuffing out an attempted 4th quarter comeback by the Tigers.
