Mizzou just has to worry about getting matched up against a team with size. I say that and they've beaten Kansas and Baylor, but I think that'd be their only weak spot. I don't like a matchup against UNC if they're in the same region.

i count 3-6 depending on definition of quality wins. it's nothing too impressive. their schedule is actually miserable. and they have absolutely no size. not that it really matters, but mizzou has never made a final 4.
this team is funny though, because they still win a bunch. ill probably stick them in my elite 8.

Creighton is not a good longshot pick. They are terrible on the road and only have two good players Young and McDermont.
Better picks are Wichita St, Temple, Long Beach St and Belmont
I would say Murray St but I dont consider them a longshot anymore.

Kansas and Baylor (x2). Maybe Cal, too, I guess. That's it.

@ iowa state and then the notre dame win are both solid.

I don't trust Mizzou in the tournament. What they've done this season is amazing but I don't think Frank Haith is a good coach.

Looked up Iowa State. Didn't know they were having as good of a year as they are. That's pretty solid.
Beating ND in November is not a quality win. At all. We were terrible. Just to give you an idea, the Mizzou game was a semifinal of a tournament, we lost in the consolation game the next day to GEORGIA (I know you're a big Dawg guy, as well. In fact, UGA lost five of six games in late November/early December, with the only win in that stretch over ND). Also lost to Maryland in early December, and got killed at Gonzaga (understand that's a tough environment, but we had no business being on the same floor as them with the way we played). Have no idea how/why the turnaround happened, but ND's a completely different team now (Mike Brey FTW).

College basketball should have a season long tournament involving every single collegiate team that goes on at the same time as the regular season, similar to the FA Cup in English Soccer.
There are 346 Division 1 institutions, 449 Division 2 institutions, around 440 Division III institutions, and 290 NAIA institutions.
Preliminary rounds for the D2, D3, and NAIA schools, and then add the D1 teams into the bracket in the 3rd or 4th round just like they do in the FA Cup. And just like over there, each round would have a draw, so you could potentially have Kansas and Kentucky playing in the round of 32.
This would never happen. But it would be awesome, IMO.

yeah i was all over that tourney due to georgia, who obviously is horrible. that was actually a really tough stretch though with nd, cincy, xavier, tech, cal, and someone else that is at least a big 6 team but i forget who.
also, most people dont really count early season wins for much which helps your point. but i didnt want someone coming into this thread being all "it doesnt matter about their ranking when you played, it matters at the end blah blah."

Yeah. Teams change so much from beginning to end of the season (for both better and worse), that using any win prior to the start of the new year to try to determine tourney success is probably useless. But ND is an even more abnormal case than most.

UK, Cuse, Kansas, I would say UNC, but that would damn near be all favorites. That won't happen.

I don't know what you mean by 3-6, granted they lost tonight again to K-State.
They've lost 3 games: K-State (x2) and @OkSU. They've won games vs. Notre Dame, Cal, Villanova, Illinois, Old Dominion and in conference. I don't see that as terrible.

I'm a big Duke fan, and they are NOT making it to the Final Four.
