He already announced his retirement.

And RD wasn't all bad--he overcame the review and made a lot of facilities improvements. Plus he spent most of his tenure with an anti-athletics university president who wanted to be Case Western Reserve.

But we need to improve the product on the field. There is zero excuse for being noncompetitive against Temple.

Temple is a good team this year. They have quality D1 players. Tulane doesnt

When it comes to hiring/firing Coaches RD was in fact all bad.

The results were terrible.

But Bob Toledo was a successful PAC-10 coach. Maybe we should have taken Harbaugh. But would Harbaugh have done a good job and used us as a steppingstone, or would we be kicking ourselves for taking a I-AA coach when a proven PAC-10 coach was available?

He's a Kentucky guy. Spent most of his life in that state. I doubt he'd leave for Tulane.

Temple kicked the shite out of Penn State so I'm not sure why you expected a different result here.

Temple is good but Tulane matches up pretty well talent wise. Check the recruiting rankings. Tulane isn't as short on talent as most believe, IMO.

Yeah temple is good, but a 50 burger? He's gots ta go. I don't see how that's any different from how badly they'd have beaten a Toledo team. Houston is going to smoke us

Yeah we have a lot of talent but when you never leave the rb or te to block or go 4 wide, and your o line is garbage...well. Always been his problem outside of when Ryan griffin came back from injury and tore it up

It's not even getting blown out. Win or lose the same problems never get corrected. The defense is pretty good, very underrated but they're left on the field too much and there isn't a lot of depth
