How good is this team? I mean one guy goes down they just keep plugging away.

This could be a 95+ win team completely healthy all season.

Really liking what I'm seeing from the offense. Starting pitching has me slightly worried, especially after the Cubs series, but Wacha (slightly off tonight), Lynn, and Lackey can be a solid trio to keep the season on track if they stay healthy.

Really, really good. Will need another bullpen arm or two, and probably another starter if Lynn keeps struggling to go with Wacha and CMart's innings limit. Zero confidence in Jaime, Marco I have confidence in if healthy.

Marco is making his first start back tomorrow for Memphis.

Pitching is deff a concern for the long haul. It's still way too early to tell though but we need more quality starts than we've had the last few games to keep from killing the pen. Not that worried about Lynn he pitched damn good his first couple starts but got no run support, been off the last 2 but I'm sure he'll bounce back. Wacha wasn't bad tonight had a couple tough breaks with an error with 2 outs scoring a run and a running scoring at home that could've been an out. Like has been said the bats are coming alive and picking up the slack of late. Let's see where the arms stand in another month or 2.

Wish we could've added a run/not let another run score to rest Rosey since he went yesterday for the rest of the series but oh well. Finish this game off and move on to the next one.

The good thing about bullpens is that there is ALWAYS solid pen arms available for pretty cheap at the deadline.

I agree, with Walden going down there has to be a move made outside the organization. Maybe try and pick up a starter as well if need be and it doesnt have to be a huge trade for a 1-2 type.

I would really rather see Marco stay in AAA all season but that doesnt appear to be viable. He ill get the opportunity to fill the need before moves are made for a starter via trade. You almost want the Cards to make a move for a starter now though because if we lose another starter trade partners are going to want a kings ransom because of the situation we would find ourselves.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. What happens with Carp etc.

I love Keith Law.

what keeps Kolten Wong out of your top 50?

Klaw (1:21 PM)
Better question: Why would he be there? 5'8", can't run, lacks power, not a good defender at 2b. Doesn't make sense to rate a guy without upside there.

Could Law have been any more wrong about Wong?

Very apparently, his other question involved Kyle McClellan and Kyle Lohse.
