How many of you golfers tune in to watch Tiger Woods fail but don't watch golf on TV if he's not playing in the tournament?

I've been a golf fan since the Palmer, Nicklaus, Trevino days. Tiger has been a major influence on the TV ratings and the purses they are playing for today. The Tour is having trouble finding sponsors for tournaments and I suspect the number of tournaments will begin to drop. The International at Castle Pines dropped off the Tour schedule because Jack Vickers couldn't find a sponsor. You can bet Finchem is praying Tiger finds his game real quick.

I watch all four majors regardless of whether those two or in contention or not.
Past that if Phil, Tiger or Toms aren't in contention I honestly don't watch a minute.
I'll sometimes tune it to the women if Gulbis or one of the other few hotties are in contention, but often it's 10 not so hot looking Korean gals and I'm out.

THIS won't happen!! He is toast. What amazes me is that he was still SOOO good even though he was living a life WE didn't know about. NOW taaaahat he got busted his focus is GONE!!! Like a kid getting caught stealing a candy bar from the local drugstore, BUT in a MUCH LARGER SCALE.

I wouldn't write him off yet. Let him get his personal life sorted out and then see if he can regain his form.

HIS MAJOR edge over other plaers was his MENTAL FOCUS. Thats something he can NEVER get back. He has been proven MORTAL. GOLF is 90% mental and 10% physical.

He looks like a hacker right now. 75 today and he was just walking up and hitting the ball without even evaluating the shots. Never seen that from him. Can't say I am not enjoying it

I think that it's more that he had to admit vulnerability, which kills his confidence, than it is the distraction. Keeping random tail secret is a distraction, as well.

PJ, you just better be here to eat your crow when Tiger starts winning again. You've been more vocal about him being done than anyone else on this board, so as soon as he wins another major, I'm calling you out. I'm not saying that'll be this year or even next, but he will win another major.
