Maybe it's just me, but I cannot understand how people are offended by a word that may or may not be derrogatory toward a culture that hasn't existed in over a century. No one alive was around when that word would have been used. It makes no sense

A lot of people are in the same boat as you and assume that these people are just pussies. It is a dishonest, cowardly response to something they pretend to understand. Not understanding is one thing, but not understanding while being sanctimonious and judgmental at the same time is pure chickenshit, and that goes for all sides of every issue.

As for me, I understand, academically but not emotionally or socially, why there is such opposition, so I am not in a place to pass judgment on people wanting a change. I DO understand fully, I believe, why Dan Snyder keeps his team's name, and I choose not to pass judgment on him for it because it is none of my business. The only thing wrong with anyone's take on this issue is dishonesty, and there is a lot of it regarding this.
