X-Ray was negative, I haven't seen anything else other than they're going to do additional testing.
From a World Series perspective, I like what the Nats have been able to do with replacement players, but depth is certainly becoming a concern if the injured players don't come back at full strength and production.

Nationals could certainly use a 4th OF bat/bench player...
Maybe Lonnie Chisenhall, Chris Johnson, Juan Uribe, Sam Fuld, Jackie Bradley Jr, Drew Stubbs, Craig Gentry, Raja Davis could all fill in for injured stars and be valuable bench bats in the postseason.

Kemp should improvement in the second half last year I believe, only thing is I think they thought it would continue. But man that trade looks bad now.... every trade they made looks bad actually as the players they got rid of are outperforming the ones they received.
Kemp has the hips of an 80 year old korea vet. Everyone knew that.

thanks for the insight. Red Sox fan as well but don't have anywhere near of a grasp of the organization as you do.

That is true... but he hit .309/.365/.606 after the All-Star game last season with 17 home runs... that is the player the Padres thought they were getting.

I guess it was a calculated risk, but I never believed for a second he was back.

Moving to that ballpark you knew it would hurt his numbers... Padres had to think they were getting a guy who would put up .270/.360/.440 type of numbers... How much of the deal did the Dodgers eat again?

Cubs need another starting pitcher.
Whatever deal the Cubs make for a pitcher, they won't give up any of Schwarber/Bryant/Russell/Soler/Torres. So, that leads me to believe that they will make a deal that will center around Starlin Castro and prospects like Javier Baez, Dan Vogelbach, Eloy Jiminez, Christian Villanueva, etc.
Who do I hope they get? Anyone, granted they don't give up the elite four. My sort of hope is that they can pick up Andrew Cashner from the Padres or maybe even Mat Latos from the Marlins.
The Cubs are better served going for a back of the rotation rental that doesn't cost much and acquiring the headliner for just money in the winter (Jordan Zimmermann, David Price, etc.).
Maybe the Orioles want to give up on Kevin Gausman like they did Jake Arrieta.

I would also be fine if the Cubs reacquired Jeff Samardzija.

Cubs may go after Leake right? I know they won't go after an ace because of what it would require, but Leake wouldn't take that much
