I'm entirely on board with everything they're doing here. Good for both organizations to address one of the biggest complaints of the fan experience: concessions cost.

LINK

Highlights:

$2 - Regular soda with unlimited free refills (dedicated refill stations as well), unlimited popcorn, bottled water, hot dogs

$3 - Pizza, fries, peanuts, nachos

$5 - 12 oz domestic beer

$6 - Chicken tender basket

Good news for the new stadium. I still hate the Falcons.

Damn that's solid AF.

Good for them. $2 weiner, $3 pizza, and $5 beer is unheard of in major arenas these days.

They are putting this in place for when ticket sales drop drastically in year 3 of new stadium.

Honestly, $5 beer would prevent me from sneaking in my own booze. I just refuse to pay $11 a beer. And I would definitely buy more food. Normally I try to eat before or right after events because $6 hot dogs (of which I eat 2) and $12 mini-pizzas are just absurd. It’s not that I can’t afford it, it’s just that I’m fundamentally opposed to being ripped off that bad

They damn well might make more money doing this.

It's a great idea, I imagine more stadiums will follow suit.

Do they not sell out all home games?

I'm just wondering what's the incentive to do this. If they're not selling out home games, that'd make sense. If they are, then I don't really understand it. Great for the fan though, obviously.

Excellent!

Now I have even more reasons to go watch the Saints curb stomp the Falcons!

$5/12 oz versus $11/30 oz (or whatever) not really saving you anything.

Lower prices = more sales

I think you'll start to see more stadiums replicate this, in hopes to bring people back, and it's a great idea. Sales won't suffer, and will probably increase now that they aren't pricing themselves out of the market

I guess the prices make up for the 3k per seat I'd have to pay for the PSL on upper level tickets

I've never been in any stadium or arena that sells a 30oz beer. He is talking about $11 12oz (sometimes 16oz) beers.

I would be much more likely to spend money for food and drinks at sporting events if the prices were cheaper and if there were more concession stands available, which the new stadium will have apparently.

That's really awesome and I can't believe more teams don't try it maybe not quite as drastic but maybe halve the prices at least

Attendance figures are in line with the rest of the league but I think a lot of these numbers are bogus and not necessarily how many people were actually at the game or showed up late/left early.

Where do you pay 11 for a 30 ounce. I pay almost 10 now at saints games and its damn sure not 30 ounces.

Most stadiums I have been to recently sell 16oz "craft" beers for $11 or 22oz bud lights for $11.
