He’s extremely talented and a more “pro-ready” prospect to most people apparently. He didn’t have a Heisman caliber QB throwing to him…He is a great WR and had very good production, but also benefitted on not having another great WR taking passes away from him.
I have no problem with Harrison being a Heisman finalist. kid is super talented and will immediately be an impact player at the next level. that said, I feel like part of the reason he’ll be in NYC is they wanted someone to represent the Midwest (B19) who isn’t a QB and he’s the best player who fits that criteria imo.

I get what you’re saying, but otoh, the fact that OSU didn’t really have another top-end WR to pair with Harrison this year meant opposing defenses could key in on him and they did so all season long. pretty clear that UM was going to do everything they possibly could to not let Harrison Jr beat them and he still had a big game.

Dude, no one with any sense gives a frick about the Heisman.

I thought Football was the ultimate team sport? Fans should stop whining about FSU being snubbed if individual players/ awards are so important to the game & outcomes. Screw the other 21 guys.

In the end, it really doesnt matter, but his stats are lacking a bit compared to other recent receivers who made it to New York.

Because he averages 18.1 yds a catch.

Harrison: 18.07 ypc

Nabers: 17.98 ypc

In 2023, you should care about the Heisman.
In 2019, also.
Otherwise, I'm sure we can find these exact words posted by LSU fans every other season

I care about the Heisman because I love the sport, while simultaneously thinking parts of it are bullshite. It is way too political and puts way too much emphasis on team achievements for an individual award.

His daddy told the Heisman voters he'll put a hit out on them if they don't vote for his son.

I'm sorry you got drafted by the Bengals. They sucked nuts back then and you had no shot.

Gotta give the north/midwest a candidate, apparently.

He’s really good at football. He won’t win the Heisman, nor should he (I wouldn’t even invite him). But if he was playing with Jayden Daniels instead of Kyle McCord he would be putting up pretty massive numbers.

You realize that Nabers and Thomas both play on the same team, right? They split catches pretty evenly, which is an even more impressive feat by Daniels. To have two wide receivers with better or same as a heisman finalist makes it pretty evident who the best player in the country is.

They will give it to a player in the final 4 to boost ratings.
