Jerome Bettis was fatter and is like 5th or 6th all time in NFL rush yards.

Doesn't mean shite.

Was that the argument? The argument was Lacy is fat therefore that somehow hurts him as a RB. Bettis was fatter.

Oh and Im not saying Lacy is near that level but how about a comparison while we're at it of their early careers.

Lacy
2013 284 Carries 1,178 Yards (4.1 YPC) 11 TDs
2014 246 Carries 1,139 Yards (4.6 YPC) 9 TDs
2015 78 Carries 298 Yards (3.8 YPC) 2 TDS
Total 608 Carries 2,615 Yards (4.3 YPC) 22 TDs

2013 35 Catches 257 Yards 0 TDs
2014 42 Catches 427 Yards 4 TDs
2015 10 Catches 92 Yards 0 TDs
Total 82 Catches 766 Yards 4 TDs

Bettis
1993 294 Carries 1,429 Yards (4.9 YPC) 7 TDs
1994 319 Carries 1,025 Yards (3.2 YPC) 3 TDs
1995 183 Carries 637 Yards (3.5 YPC) 3 TDs
Total 796 Carries 3,091 Yards (3.9 YPC) 13 TDs

1993 26 Catches 244 Yards 0 TDs
1994 31 Catches 293 Yards 1 TD
1995 18 Catches 106 Yards 0 TDs
Total 75 Catches 643 Yards 1 TD

Eddie Lacy to this point in his career is more than comparable to Bettis. Actually his numbers are better. He benefits from Aaron Rodgers, but most of his rookie season he didn't have Rodgers at QB.

Lacy hasn't been 100% this season. His gaining weight has no impact on his ability as a runner. Bettis was fatter and is a legend.

A healthy but fat Lacy can put up 4 YPC and 1,000 yard seasons without issue for years to come.

Is he hurt? I feel like they keeping numbers down for contract reasons, just my opinion. I do have him I my reality football league and butt hurt over his production
Yeah, he injured his ankle a few weeks ago. He was supposed to be out 2-4 weeks and has been playing a little bit each week. He looked more explosive this week and will continue to improve. He should have a pretty good second half of the season.

Don't bring logic into a thread like this. These fools don't want to hear it.

Eddie Lacy at 230 and Eddie Lacy at 250 aren't that big a difference.

Bettis played around 255.

Now if he get over 260 then thats a problem. Right now his weight doesn't mean jack shite for the style of back he is.

The difference is Bettis' playing weight didn't change. He was that big in college.

Being in shape isn't important for a NFL RB.

Bama fans in 3,2,1.... I understand he played at bama, but the thought of all that extra belly fat not effecting his ability is foolish at best.
