Man, I don't know. He pitched way above his ability last year IMO. He's a 4.25-4.50 ERA guy and his peripherals really don't say he's better than that. But, then again maybe he figured it out.

I'm not saying it's a terrible deal. It really isn't bad enough or good enough to get excited either way.

And the year before that?

He's proven that he can pitch in the playoffs, and his numbers have improved every season since he came up.

The complete opposite actually. He pitched TO his ability. He's always had top of the rotation stuff. He just finally put it all together.
