I heard a rumor Oregon State and Boston College. I am sure each team will bring a dozen or so fans.

Can they survive with no Southern team?

It's hard when the local teams decline to play in the game

They should invite La Tech.

that is a dying bowl.

Used to have some decent matchups. I think ATM and Georgia played there just a few years ago(2009???).

I wish the Texas Bowl was able to get an SEC team.

I think the folks of Shreveport know and appreciate how important the bowl game is to that area and will support it with local buys no matter the teams in the game

BC has that RB who's been a beast and OSU is a decent team

It blows my mind that this bowl actually had an LSU-Notre Dame matchup.

why? it used to be a pretty decent bowl.

even recent years have seen aTm/UGA and Bama/Colorado.

the Mizzou/USCe game was fantastic a few years ago too

Pretty ironic that the bowl was created to give LA Tech a bowl to play in, but they turn around and decline to play in it because it is beneath them, even though LSU, ND, Oregon, Bama, A&M, GA, Ark, OM, MSU, Mich St. and Va Tech all played there.

next year per ESPN

After the Capital One Bowl (Orlando, Fla.), six bowls will be pooled together and share the next six selections. Sources said the bowls that will share the SEC's second through seventh selections are: AutoZone Liberty (Memphis), Belk (Charlotte, N.C.), Franklin American Mortgage Music City (Nashville, Tenn.), Outback (Tampa, Fla.), Taxslayer.com Gator (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Texas (Houston).

truth…

i still have an affinity for it, as the LSU vs. ND game was the game that i remember thinking "something is definitely different about LSU now"… i know many people may think the SECCG in 2001 was the one that did it, but for me it was that one…

I'm not sure what you mean by this but it looks like ULM brought a little more than Tech did in '08 but I guess it was all the Ohio fans.

Dec. 28, 2008 Louisiana Tech 17 Northern Illinois 10 Att 41,567 Payout $1,650,000

Dec, 28, 2012 Ohio 45 ULM 14 Att 41,853 Payout $1,700,000

Not sure what possible matchup would be best for the I-bowl. I just came here to reminisce about my favorite one - the Miss St. and A&M snow bowl in 2000. Most snow I had ever seen growing up in Shreveport. And it was a hell of a game.

Paid attendance perhaps. I was at that came and 20,000 may have been generous. It was fricking miserable that day.

That really was a good game, even though we lost. Couldn't even see the field but our 270lb running back was rumbling. I think he ended up with over 200 yards.
