You guys expect too much. Atl played a good series..against a superior team.

Atl still too feast or famine at the plate, HR vs SO, low hit nights and lacking station to station contact, working counts. Lack the elite frontline power aces that Schilling always talks of for playoff ball, that the LAD, St.L, Det, Bost,etc..do have..despite what the regular season Atl stats tallied.

As for some of the Frediot bashing..feel free!

Well I appreciate your honesty and I would frick your wife in the arse... Other than that, you can suck my cock. Go restore that shite in BR

No. Atl outhit by three to four hits nightly, even in the game it won. Dodgers make contact and work counts more consistently, keep the pressure on inning to inning, better at station to station ball, has a few more clutch guys.

But do agree, the difference in the series far and away going in was better elite frontline aces.

Atl put up a very noble fight, and is getting closer

Minor matched Greinke
Teheran outderped Ryu
Freddy fricking Garcia matched Clayton Kershaw and had us in a position to take it to game 5. They may not be elite, but they are nowhere close to the reason why the Braves lost.

Remember when Mattingly tried to avoid Constanza, intentionally walked Reed to face JHey with the bases loaded? Yeah Fredi did that times about 100 tonight. That's the fricking problem.

Braves saw more pitches than any team in baseball this year over the course of the season.

Imo the difference is that the Dodgers were facing worse pitchers.

Hanley and A Gon are obviously elite, but if Upton/Uggla just have mediocre seasons the Braves have the better lineup top to bottom.

Somewhat agree, thus worded as 'going in' aka 'on paper'..

Still, Kershaw was working from ahead in both starts, with Game 2's early Atl 1-0 and late 4-1 leads the few times Atl had LAD under major pressure, until the late 3-2 lead in Game 4.

True. The one time Atlanta does score some runs early to flip the pressure, Teheran loses his fricking mind and gives up 7 runs in 2 innings.

You keep talking about the offense but they scored enough runs to put the team in a position to win in games 2,3 and 4. Can't point the blame on them really, even if they didn't hit the HR at their normal rate

Game 2 and 4..yes.

Gm 3 was a rout, final hit and run tallies can be skewed for the losing team. Atl's 1st inning 2-0 lead became 4-2 deficit, became 4-4 tie in T3rd, then became rout in B3rd..last two Atl runs came in 9th.

They played well, but were outperformed on the mound and plate..lost two routs..split two close 4-3 games..outhit by 4 hits in each 1 run gm? Didn't tally a crooked frame all series, just some very noble two-spot frames against elite aces.

@JeffPassan: Craig Kimbrel is supposedly the heir to Mariano Rivera. In postseason career, Rivera recorded 27 appearances of 2+ innings.
