I play whenever I can, and it's still some of my favorite times when I can get 4 buddies together for 4 hours of beer drinking and ragging on each others games.

Nike can spout the declining numbers all they want. They make excellent gear and shite clubs. They had great marketing to sell their lime green drivers, but in my opinion they were always shite. They were never going to catch Titleist, TM, Callaway, etc.

Even worse for the sport’s future: Participation by young golfers, ages 18 to 34, has plunged 30 percent over the past 20 years.

This is strange to me. I have a few buddies who are pros at various golf courses, and I've heard that more kids are enrolling in golf lessons than ever before.

Guys like Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth are definitely making the game more attractive to younger kids.

Golf has priced itself into a tiny market.

It does make one happy. Imagine the explosion in the sport once weed is legalized. My kind will arise from the ashes. Come forth from the woodworks.

It takes a way bigger man to play frisby golf than golf. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it.

It's not dying at all...look at the courses. Sometimes these articles just make one shake their head. I don't play near as much as I used to but it's not because of lack of interest. I really want to play but trying to take care of two young kids by myself doesn't leave any time.

With that said, my three favorite courses are (in order): Cedar Point (NAS Pax River); The Legends (MCRD Parris Island); the ones at Andrews AFB.

Usually I only play on military installations, but go to others like my local one when I get a chance.

well if you take a kid to the golf course and show him how to play the game, there are a lot of things he can learn about being a man.

I don't think you know what queer means...unless you are referring to the current broken societal definition that requires slight brainwashing and a touch of ignorance to accept.

Golf is a sport that isn't really picked up or fun until you get older.

Kids don't enjoy going out and repetitively hitting a ball for hours upon end and thinking of technique and placement.

If you suck horribly, golf is really not fun.

Hardly ever play last couple of years. If I am going to do it, I want to play fairly often and the 5 hour chunks of time are too much these days.
