His problems can be traced back to the state semifinals his senior year. The manager had him throw 151 pitches in that game.

Eric Davis.

Unreal talent. Never played a full season during his career.

The guy asked for disappointing

Ken Griffey Jr
Cal Ripken Jr
Chipper Jones
Mickey Mantle

These guys don't fit. They had great careers. All, except mantle, were injury prone after their primes. If we're talking about great careers that could have been even better if not for injuries then we can discuss these guys.

Could be interpreted as disappointing or injury prone. Grant hill was the most common pick in the basketball thread and I think he had an excellent career.

I guess, but at the same time a player injury prone for 4 years and productive for 16, I wouldn't call that injury prone. I'd call that old.

He hit a HR once every 5.7 games, he stole a base once every 4.6 games. Using those same % had he played in the same #of games as Rose, Bonds, JR did.

Rose- 625 Hrs & 774 SB
Bonds-513 Hrs & 636 SB
Griffey- 469 Hrs & 580 SB

Good one

People forget he won a Cy and was runner up the two years after. He was a workhorse for 6 years and then BAM, he can't get back from the shoulder trouble
