Mary Hardin Baylor has a cool stadium. They recently built it after Drayton Mclane made a nice donation to the school.

Yup. My nephew attends UMHB and I was impressed when I watched them beat Mount Union last week

Yeah. And if Bama or Ohio State aren't in the National Championship, I lose interest.

Since 2005, only twice has a team other than Mount Union or UW-Whitewater made the DIII title game. St. Thomas lost to Mount Union in 2012 and 2015.

2004 was the last time the final featured neither school.

Yes! It was UMHB vs Linfield I reckon? Coach Fredenburg was an assistant coach at LSU in the 90s

Do they not have replay in FCS games?

That was totally a fumble in the NDSU game. A play later they get a huge pass.

How is D-III Mary Hardin Baylor different from B12's D-1 Baylor?

I had a gf who went to Mary Hardin Baylor. I thought it was non-coed, a girls school.

UMHB was founded by the Republic of Texas in 1845[4] as "Baylor Female College," the female department of what is now Baylor University.[5] It has since become its own institution and grown to 3,898 students and awards degrees at the baccalaureate, master's, and doctorate levels. It is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas.[3][6]

It was. Not sure when they went coed. If you talk to aggies from the 60s and 70s they went to Belton for women.

They were founded in 1845 as the same coed school. They broke off into two separate departments in 1851. UMHB was Baylor Womens college; Baylor was the male college. In the 1880s Baylor womens moved to Belton, Baylor mens moved to Waco and merged with a coed school.
The main difference now is UMHB is staunchly Baptist (not particularly a bad thing) and Baylor is much larger and is vaguely Christian w/regard to operations

UMHB became coed in 1971.

Well I'm a BISDer in north Temple.

Wasn't going to differentiate for the sake of this board.

My dad went to Belton High lol.

Aside from that the only other tie I have is an ex from there.

Always liked UMHB though.
