Good lord, ESPN is telling me how amazing Cam is. But apparently the Panthers don't give a shite and want him to do everything.
Didn't they have one of the best defenses in the league last year?! How the frick do people say he's elite AND claim he doesn't have enough help all at once?! What am I missing as far as team success with the Panthers???

He is way overated...... BUT IF you have somebody with his so-called talent you must pony-up the coin to keep him happy... The Panthers are a decent team,but Cam will never get them to where they want o be.............

He's not a top 5 QB, and I wouldn't even call 15% "Elite" anyways.
Rodgers, Brady, and Brees are the elite QBs in the game right now. Brady and Brees are on their way out, so Luck will push his way into the conversation.

Wasn't trying to question his ability as much as what he ACTUALLY does on the field. I get that the league pays guys when they have unreal talent as he does.
But damn. Damn. It's not like the Panthers are giving up 30 points per game over here. They're a bit inconsistent but shite.....that's a stout unit. And Cam STILL can't do shite to take the team forward. I don't get it.

If the Saints had a defense half as good as Carolina's, Ingram would easily lead them to a championship.

They have no running game and they have no one for Cam to throw to. The defense keeps them in games, but offensively cam has no help.

Cam Newton creates interest and makes this smaller market NFL team attractive. This brings in the bucks and makes the Panthers relevant to some. If Cam Newton happens to win while trying to becoming an elite NFL QB. It's the cherry on top of an already OK cake.
I'm not a huge Cam Newton fan, but he's a star.

well his offensive line isn't the best, his wide receiver group is meh, and his running backs are always injured.... so he could use some help besides Olsen.
