Playing in the east the last 12 years, I can't believe LBJ has only made 6 finals.

I don't think there's any "natural" team for a UK fan. Every NBA team is like a minimum 4 hours away.

Maybe Indiana? Maybe Memphis? Maybe Cleveland? Maybe Atlanta?

I wouldn't imagine there is a very strong natural fanhood connection there.

Can yall please go look at the teams in MJs east and compare it to Lebrons east without just spewing this statement. MJs is only slightly better. It has completely jumped the shark and been blown out of proportion on this board though

There is. Kentucky is def an "OHIO" state for pro sports teams

at the same stage of their 12th NBA season-
quote:
LeBron: 5 Finals, 2 Championships, 2 Finals MVPs, 4 NBA MVPs, and is about to play in his 6th Finals and his 5th straight

Jordan- 5 Finals, 5 Championships, 5 Finals MVPs,6 MVPs

Objectively speaking, Jordan is better than James at this point in their careers.

Drewbie explain to me why using seasons over age makes any logical sense

MJ = GOAT now
LBJ = possibility of GOAT in the future.

If LBJ dies tomorrow, MJ's resume is better.

Explain how comparing 12 NBA seasons to 9 NBA seasons makes any sense...

Because age is the number one determining factor on when a career will end. So when talking about will one player have a better career, it makes far more sense to talk about ones age over years played. Also, the prime years are from 25 onward in basketball. So to include someones years of 18-20 also makes no logical sense to me. Now, I would love for someone from your side of the sense for making an argument for your stance

Wrong. Wear and tear on the body determines how long you play. That's why runningbacks hardly ever have long careers yet you have QB's that play 20 years.

I disagree. Yes games played has a part, but I think age still plays the biggest factor

I'd rather use real logic to deflate your argument that holds literally no water.

So you think Lebron will retire at 32? That is the only way going by seasons instead of age will make your argument valid in the end

Actually, Lebron needs to retire next year at 31 for the seasons played more valid than age comparison

If you're dumb enough to consider someone better because they played longer, that's none of my business.

I dont at all. Mourning played longer than alot of players. I have no clue what this has to do with what we are talking about though. So at the end of the day, lets say Lebron retires at 35 with 6 titles. You will say MJ has the advantage because he played less seasons? So you will hold it against Lebron that he played in the nba from 18-21. That seems illogical and irrational. I know it makes you angry but try to sit back and understand

I will say MJ has the advantage because he never lost a Finals ever. Lebron has done very little to show me he's a better overall basketball player than Michael Jordan. He was surrounded by two other All-Stars and still lost in the Finals against a team with one.
