People have been questioning this for a couple of days now. I don't think that anyone thinks Hayward was going to break his ankle, but it appears in the replay that Crowder hip checked him and backed into him while he was in mid air. Maybe he was trying to send a message? Maybe he wanted Hayward to come down hard and feel some pain, get rattled?

I don't believe he thought he'd break his ankle. That's a freak thing. But, if he did back into him while he was in mid air, that's a dirty play. IF he did. It can never be proven. But, there was bad blood between Crowder and Boston fans when they were cheering Hayward when Utah visited last year. And, we all know about the bad blood between IT and Danny Ainge for the trade. One could see Crowder in that too with IT.

Was this a takedown to send a message that went really bad?

If so, is this the role that Crowder will play this year for Cleveland as the enforcer?

I doubt it. I think it was what it was.... A freak accident/injury.

It was an odd spin, box out thing, but I don't think it was dirty at all.

People are going to try to create a narrative since the Celtics traded him. I guess people want to think he may want revenge or something.

That's nonsense. It's basketball, dudes roll their ankles almost every game.

I know it was a freak accident/injury. I don't think Crowder thought he'd break Hayward's ankle and end his season. I mean, was back in with the hip and going all the way through Hayward while he was in mid air an intentional move to send a message to him? Cause him to come down hard?

If so, that was a dirty play that went terribly wrong. And, if it is was, then will Crowder keep playing that way. He played that way with the Celtics at times.

Haha, that's awesome. Crowder was a good dude when he played in Dallas but can't speak for his stays in Bos/Cleve.

I'm not saying they do what he did every game, I was being hyperbolic with "destroys," but probably 1 player per game rolls/lands awkwardly on his ankle.

His was a freak injury, like Paul George's. Nothing more.

I mean stuff like that happens all the time in basketball.

One time I was guarding a guy and he pump faked and I bit on it and jumped up and he jumped into me to get a foul and his shoulder hit me right between my legs and his shoulder smashed me so hard I couldn't feel my cock for a solid 5 minutes.

No. And I don't know why Hayward even went up for the alley oop knowing he was between LBJ and Jae. I mean that's just dumb as hell. #victimblaming
