I have only seen one pass where a receiver looked remotely open. That was the pass that Eli through on the slant/dig where the receiver was trying to duck so not to get killed by the safety. Ball could have been thrown right at him, and not in front, but other than that, these play calls are horrendous, or the receivers are really bad.
