Appel is finished for the night.
Didn't allow a run through five innings. He walked four and gave up two hits while striking out 4.
Good start. He struggled with control a little tonight but shouldn't be much to worry about. Couldn't have asked for a better first start after the train wreck in Lancaster.

Yeah and the announcers even said he was overthrowing. Like I said, not an issue. Walks were about the only thing that wasn't an issue in Lancaster. I'm excited to see him get back on track.

Really? Singleton was the #1 1b prospect before he got called up. Jon is more athletic than AJ too though

He was the #1 first baseman because of the way he can hit. Singleton gives me Big Papi vibes while I was impressed with Reed in the field at UK.
