I'm thinking it will be like a 9-8 game tomorrow. I really wanted to see a clean inning from Giles tonight to build some confidence. We will need him tomorrow.

Man. It's like CC should be a favorable matchu for our offense. He's not gonna overpower you. But the team can't fall into his trap like they did in game 3. He mixes up pitches, mixes up eye level and to some degree speed.
This team loves hitting fastballs. But CC doesn't have a great one so he doesn't have to rely on it in traditional counts. That's where the deception comes into play. He even described his stuff as smoke and mirrors.

Morton has a similar problem to CC. He'll mow through the first few innings and look unhittable. But Mutiple trips through the lineup. Sometime around the 4th or 5th inning he loses it. If Morton can go 4 innings with 1 or 2 runs, I'm pulling him before Judge and Co roll around a 3rd time.

Morton really wasn't as bad as his line last game. 3 dribblers, a looping liner off the fist, the pop fly double that Maybin misplayed and Frazier's freak home run.
