A game we should have badly won at home. 2 runs up in the 9th with your so-called great closer. Giles showed histrue colors last night. Astros had a decent year, but that horrible start in April was too much to overcome. It is over. Done.

Before I jump to conclusions and call you a dumbass... I'm curious to hear your logic of how it was Hinch's fault and not Giles?
Or, was he not supposed to pitch Giles in the 9th inning with a 2 run lead?

He gives up the lead. Devo starts warming. Walks the next batter, then has to intentionally walk the following batter, then gives them the lead on another hit and then even still gets to face the next batter to make sure the bases are loaded with one out.
And then one run down on our last playoff gasp do we bring in unquestionably the most consistent reliever who is warming up for the second time during the game Chris devenski? No! we want to make sure we send our playoff hopes good and dead by giving them a 4 run lead and killing any hope of a comeback or at least sending it to extras.
A combo gilesing and hunching. The worst kind of Hunching. I remember one earlier in the year vs the mariners too.
