My vote is Ashby and Blum full throttle. I don't like Ford on the radio but his style played a bit better on tv. He's too bland for me. More like a national broadcast voice.

It's Ashby or death for me. I won't accept anything less.

dammit. I really can't tell if you are serious. Ashby is absolutely terrible. I can somewhat tolerate Blummer, but Asby has to go.

Give the job to Stanton full time. Dude is absolutely prepared every time he gets in front of the camera. Ashby, not so much.

Stanton and Blum both do national MLB radio talk work, so they are prepared to talk about the league. Ashby clearly just wings it.

My problem with Blum is that having him call Astros games is like having your college buddy be your best man after you find out he screwed your fiance while you were stationed in Korea for a year.

It just isn't right.

Fiers and Castro is just a shitty combination.

I guess, really, all I needed to say was:

Fiers.

Can someone explain to a total noob why MLB.tv wouldn't work for the Stros in BR area, or why the game wouldn't show up on Cox there? I'm a Houston inhabitant and watch on Root usually so there is clearly something else I'm missing about broadcasting rights.

Signed,
Confused

Your eloquent retort has certainly convinced me of my empty and non-supported argument.

You have swayed me with your wisdom.

Can one of you DAT baws settle this issue for me? About Mookie Betts being "the first player in the MLB to reach 200 hits this season":

Mookie Betts first to reach 200 hits in 2016

LINK

quote:

He beat Astros second baseman Jose Altuve to the mark by just one hit. Betts becomes the first AL right fielder to reach the 200 hit mark since Ichiro did so in 2010.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but looking at baseball reference, Jose Altuve got 200 hits on the 19th of September, right?

Altuve had 184 hits going into September

April/March- 29 hits
May- 40 hits
June- 42 hits
July-34 hits
August-39 hits

29+40+42+34+39 = 184 hits

Then September...

Sep 2- (0)
Sep 3- (1)
Sep 4- (0)
Sep 5- (2)
Sep 6-(0)
Sep 7-(2)
Sep 8-(0)
Sep 9-(0)
Sep 10-(1)
Sep 11-(2)
Sep 12-(0)
Sep 13-(3)
Sep 14-(1)
Sep 16-(3)
Sep 17-(0)
Sep 18-(0)
Sep 19-(1)

Altuve had 16 hits in the month of September on Sep 19th.

Jose Altuve-Baseball Reference

ESPN with the same exact stats

Betts going into September had 179 hits (5 less than Altuve)

April/March 29 hits
May 36 hits
June 34 hits
July 35 hits
August 45 hits

Sep 2- 14 (11 hits)
Sep 15-(2 hits)
Sep 16-(2 hits)
Sep 17-(2 hits)
Sep 18-(1 hit)
Sep 19-(1 hit)

Up to Sep 19th, Betts had 19 hits in the month of September.

179 + 19 = 198 hits

It may be over, but I'd like to give you props on your community leadership. I saw you made it on TV earlier.
